RMA & Returns
Logistics Consulting exchange, return, and refund policy varies depending on exactly what was purchased. Please refer to our detailed policies below. All items are subject to our general return policy requirements however some items have additional guidelines/restrictions. Such additional guidelines are listed in a products own section. Any item with a special policy will have its own section; otherwise refer to our general return policy listed below.

Restocking fee
A restocking fee of 15% will be charged on any returned product unless defective or prohibited by law. A restocking fee of 25% will be charged on Special Order Products unless defective or prohibited by law. In addition, at our sole discretion IF Logistics Consulting decides to accept an item for return that has not past our inspection criteria a restocking fee of 35% will be assessed.
Inspection Criteria
1. Products must be in the original manufacturers packaging, and shipped securely.
2. Products must be complete with any standard certification labels (UL listing, capacity, brand name, UPC code) originally placed and not tampered with.
3. Product serial number, or any similar identification numbers, must match the serial number on the package or invoice (Logistics Consulting) maintains serial number tracking).
4. Products must be free from damage of any type, including, but not limited to dents, scratches, cracks, abuse, defacement or indication of removed screws/fasteners or seals.
Defective Goods Policy
1. DOA/defective products are returned for REPLACEMENT ONLY with the same product/model. Deviations from this policy may result in up to a 35% Returns Processing Service Charge.
2. Defective product must be in original factory carton with all original packing materials
3. All miscellaneous materials such as manuals, accessories and cables must be included. If any of these materials are missing, your account will be billed accordingly. All packing materials, manuals, diskettes, CDs, digital media, blank warranty cards and other accessories and documentation must be included. Kits and other items assembled after purchase must be unassembled and returned in the manufacturer's original packaging
4. Returns must be shipped freight prepaid. Products received without an RA number, freight collect, not approved for return, or in any way not meeting the above criteria, will be refused. Logistics Consulting does not pay the return shipping costs for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for produce defects as we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to us we will replace it and ship the replacement to you at no charge. Return Authorization numbers are good for seven (7) days only. Any products returned after the expiration date will be refused.
5. After inspection, if the product is found to be non-defective, the produce will be returned to you and no refund will be issued. If Logistics Consulting decides to refund a non-defective product a 35% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund. This is at the sole discretion of Logistics Consulting.
6. Logistics Consulting credits based on purchase price or current price, whichever is lowest.
7. Once we receive the item please allow up to 10 days for Logistics Consulting to finish inspection. We will email you within that time frame and let you know of our decision. Please allow up to 2 weeks for any credit to show on your bank account or credit card statement if refund is granted.
8. Item MUST still be under warranty if requesting a replacement if defective.
Obtaining a Valid RMA Number for Returns
1. Call our customer service line at 860-942-8522 to obtain a RMA NUMBER. ANY RETURN MUST HAVE A VALID RMA NUMBER IN ORDER FOR YOUR RETURN TO BE ACCEPTED.
2. Your customer service representative will know where this product needs to be returned to and will give you the correct address to send your return. The RMA Number provided by our customer service representative needs to be included as an ATTN: (Your RMA Number Here) in the address line so it can be identified once it reaches its destination.
Desktop/Notebook/Netbook Returns
1. Once received, notebook / laptop RMA processing time can up to 3 weeks from the date RMA is received. Transit time is not included in this timeframe.
2. All notebooks returned will be tested to verify the defect returned under.
3. If defect is confirmed, a repair of verified defect will be performed; replacements will only be issued for units that could not be repaired.
4. ALL notebooks returned must be received 100% complete as received by customer.
5. User must remove ALL system passwords (BIOS password, Windows password, manufacturer restore program password, etc.)
Units received that are password protected will be denied and returned to the customer.
6. You will receive updates via email.
Software and Multimedia Return Policy
Any type of software (DVD’s, CD’s, and Computer Software etc.) must be unopened in order to qualify for a return. IF the package is open no return can be issued, only an exchange for the same product is allowed.
Manufacturer Stipulation Return Policy
Some manufacturers have implemented returns restrictions that prevent Logistics Consulting from being able to accept returns or offer exchanges, replacements or credits on their products for any reason. In the unlikely event this occurs a detailed email will be sent to stating the manufacturers’ policy on the non-returnable good.
Faulty Heatsink/Fan in a CPU
On a retail box CPU fan, warranty coverage is provided by the manufacturer. However, we can replace the entire Retail CPU package within thirty days of the invoice date if you return the entire CPU package, including all accessories and packaging. If you'd like to have just a fan or heatsink replaced, call the manufacturer. AMD: 408-749-3060.
Return Shipping Policy
For your protection, we recommend that you insure your return and use a traceable carrier that can provide you with delivery confirmation. Logistics Consulting shall not be responsible for items returned that are lost or damaged in transit. Postage and handling charges, both to and from our warehouse will be paid by the customer, and are non-refundable.
Additional Information
In the event that the product you are returning does NOT meet the requirements described in this document, we will photograph the merchandise and packaging, and prepare a detailed summary of our determination as to why the return was denied, the product(s) will be deemed not eligible for return and will be returned to you. If Logistics Consulting, at our sole discretion, decides to accept a non-qualified item for return, a restocking fee of up to 35% will be assessed.
Promotional items
Any product that is returned without a promotional item(s) included with the original transaction (IE. buy TV, get free DVD player; buy TV, get free gift card; or buy TV, get DVD player half off) will have the value of the promotional item deducted from the refund amount.
RMA Product Facts
1. RMA'd items cannot be exchanged for different items. Logistics Consulting only replaces an RMA'd item with an identical replacement item of the same make and modle. The only time a an RMA'd item is exchanged for a different item is if it is a defective RMA item and the RMA item cannot be replaced with the identical item because that item is out of stock. If the return policy period for a refund has not yet expired, you can request an RMA Refund (subject to 15% restocking fee), order a new item, and we'll refund your original purchase after we receive your returned product.
2. If an RMA item is found to be on backorder and we cannot obtain the item, you will be notified by email and offered a similar replacement or a refund. We try to contact every customer in this case to find an agreeable replacement item or refund amount minus the restocking fee, if the RMA'd item is not defective.
3. We keep serial numbers on all products we carry. Occasionally, our customers inadvertently return items that were not purchased at Logistics Consulting. In such a case, the item in question will be returned to the customer with a request to send the correct item.
Rebates and UPC codes
Products offering mail-in-rebates are non-returnable to Logistics Consulting once the rebates have been filed for. Be sure that the product is working and that you intend to keep the product before filing for rebates. Products missing UPC codes are NOT returnable and will be rejected or subject to a restocking fee a minimum of 35% at Logistics Consulting sole discretion.
